Prolific
I used to be able to write three of these
in an hour. Any more I have to think
too much. Thinking takes time I might
otherwise spend doing things. Right
now I am trying to write, to think through
my fingers so to speak, and it’s not working
out too well. I look at my watch and see
that this process has already consumed
forty minutes and I’m only nine lines in.
What am I doing? What was I thinking?
Someone do the math for me. I have
too much time on my hands, or should I say
in my hands? Time is at my fingertips,
which are about a foot from my brain.
